Hey Jakey,

I miss you with every fiber of my being right now.

So I didn't mention before that I saw Farenheit 9/11 the other day. It's the new movie by Michael Moore, who's documentaries have always affected me. I don't think the movie will change anyone's minds about George Bush. At this point, either you like him or you don't, and if you like him, you probably won't go see the movie. Anyway, Moore talks to a woman who lost her son in the war in Iraq. She says that she wants her son back so badly that her "flesh ached" for him. Right there, in that theater, I let myself for just a moment think of you as a casualty of war. And yes, my flesh ached just thinking about it. Don't ever become a soldier, Jake. The military was good to your grandpa Dave, and even to your daddy, and I'm sure it's a fine way to earn college money, but I just want you to be safe and alive for as long as I live.

Sigh. Come home right now, you little shit!
