Hey Jakey,

I went to the Truckee Wine Walk & Shop with C today. We had a pretty good time. Between the two of us, we've gotten to go to some pretty neat events--gratis--"for the paper." It's hard to remember when you're walking down main street chomping on chocolate and washing it down with a rich, velvety port that you should be taking photos or jotting down notes.

I felt guilty for leaving you all afternoon, and tried to atone by bringing you home treats: pumpkin butter for your Cream of Wheat and a caramel apple, which I helped you eat, and I stopped at Tar-zhay on the way home and bought you one of several Halloween costumes that I'm sure you'll wind up with this year, and a drawing toy, kinda like an Etch-a-Sketch, but not.

I wound up stopping drinking way too early in the day, and consequently have a hangover at midnight, rather than Sunday morning. So I can't sleep. I'll come in now and lay down with you, if you promise not to snore. Love you.



Update: Yes, I did sneak out of work early on Friday and see Flightplan. Around 2pm I told X that I was going back to my office up at the Lake, but went to the movies in Minden instead. I love Jodie Foster! I semi-liked the movie.
