I guess now is as good a time as any to jump back into this whole blogging thing. And not just writing. I've missed out on reading all my blog buddies' blogs, too.
The perfect storm that just may sink the Miss Kelly:
1) Today is my 40th birthday. I'm officially halfway to DEAD.
2) Wavy's weaning. So it's not just ME who's getting old, it's my precious little girl who's growing up, too.
3) My parents are here for a visit. A THREE-WEEK visit. Today is their second day. The second day of their THREE-WEEK visit.

Okay, love you muchly. Thanks for a wonderful birthday. We all had dinner at the Overland Hotel and cake and singing back here at home. Not exactly the soul-searching, epic voyage of solitude and navel-gazing among the mist-shrouded coastal redwoods that I undertook for my 30th birthday, but I'm not really that person anymore, am I. I'm older and wiser and in the company of the two shining-est little stars in all the universe.
