Hey Jakey,
Your daddy and I had a conversation about you tonight. You were curled up asleep in the crook of his arm as we watched Grey's Anatomy. You were hella cute. I told your daddy that I hope you know that I love you very much. Then we started talking about how I hope you don't get short-changed when your sister finally gets here. Daddy said that's why HE'S around, to make sure you get the attention you deserve. That you'll probably be nervous and cranky when I'm sleeping with someone else in our bed, when I'm nursing someone that isn't you, when I pay attention to a bawling little baby-baby before I turn my attention to you.
I told him maybe we should trade places; I'll watch after you, and he can have the new baby. He said it wouldn't work, cuz he can't breastfeed. Oh well, sweetie. I tried.
He also said that a few months ago, before you started school, he was scared of how you might act with a new baby in the house. Cuz you can be a little violent and obnoxious when you want to be. But he said that now that he's seen you in school, interacting with the babies in the adjacent baby room, he knows you'll do fine.
You'll be an excellent big brother. Just wanted to tell you that. Love you.

Thanks, Barbara, that's a great story! And by "great," I mean scary/funny! LOL
