Hey Wavy,
Just wanted to tell you Happy Six-Month Birthday while it's actually still your birthday. I have so much to tell you, some of it bloggable, some of it not.
On Cinco de Mayo, you sat up by yourself for the first time, and as we speak, it is now old-hat. I'm attaching pics from that momentous weekend.
Today you got your first taste of solid food. We waited a couple months longer than most people do, because your brother has had so many food allergies and such. You had rice cereal mixed with breast milk. MMMMMM-mmmmmmm. Tasty. I kid, but you actually took to it like, well, a fat kid takes to ice cream.
We know you've been ready for awhile, cuz you sit at the table and watch us eat. So cute, your eyes fervently tracking my fork from the plate to my mouth, all the while smacking your lips.
I probably went overboard for a month-iversary, buying you all sorts of new outfits, some socks and a toy. As much as I fretted about having a girl, I now find that I would shop for clothes for you every day, and love it.
I've got a for-realsies blog post in draft that I'm about half-way finished with. I'll finish it up soon, but tonight I just wanted to wish you happy birthday.
Happy Birthday, dear heart. Love you!
PS: A special shout-out to Aunt L, who visited last weekend. Leave a frickin'-frackin' comment, and let me know if it's okay to post that adorable phone pic of you and the kids. You know which one I'm talking about!!!

Oh my god I just stumbled upon your site and that is the cutest baby ever! the nose oh my goodness You should be so proud with such an adorable little baby
Yay! More baby photos!! I knew you'd come through for me!!! She's so cute!! I love how different babies look once they can sit up and the gravity works on their little faces.
I'm glad you waited to start the baby food with Wavy, as it made me feel a little more normal. My sister has a ton of allergies, and my kids never seemed really excited about the food when they were really small. We waited until the five/six month mark, but I'd always hear about someone who was feeding their kids solids at two months. Huh?
Good job on the baby clothes shopping! (I'm all about the !!! tonight!!!) I worried that I wouldn't get to buy lots of new clothes for a second baby girl, but now that she is pretty much the same size as her big sis, I can justify buying them each a new wardrobe for each season. This summer in the great white north, the look is all about bright fruit colours, and bad fruit puns on t-shirts ("I love my mum pear-y much!").
