Hey Jakey,

I swore I wouldn't do anything not work-related today when I got into the office, but here I am. I just have to tell you, you're becoming such a willful child. Yesterday when I was on the phone talking to your Nana, you kept climbing up on the dining room table. I would set the phone down, pluck you off the table, set you on the floor, and you would start to cry, then proceed to climb back up. After doing this about four times, your Nana had the audacity to say, "Don't you ever tell him no?"

I just about lost it. If I had not been on the phone, sure, I would've said, shouted, repeated, "NO! NO! NO!" But, I didn't want Nana to know that I didn't have control of the situation. Ha! Showed her, huh?

Anyway, yesterday was a grumpy day for all of us. Then around dinnertime, you settled down. Daddy made a great dinner of corned beef and potatoes, and I think that was the first dinner ever that you actually amused yourself while Daddy and I ate, rather than crying and clamoring to be on our laps, on the table, in the food. And you were sweet the whole rest of the night. And you slept thru all the way till 7:30 this morning.

Little Mr. Jeckyll and Hyde, I tell you!

Nana and grandpa are making plans already to come out sometime late next month. Nana has a bunch of doctors appointments that she needs to take care of, then she's free and clear to come out for as long as she wants. She talked yesterday about getting her bone marrow test results back this week. There are tiny traces of the leukemia still in her system, so she has to stay on her miracle meds for a while longer, but for all intents and purposes, she's in remission.

They want to come out and spend a large chunk of the summer camping in the RV, up the road in Hope Valley, the same place they stayed last year. It's fun for the first couple of weeks, then becomes kind of difficult, driving back and forth every day between work, the campground and home. Maybe we'll find a way to streamline it this year. You're going to have a great time camping this time around! Last year, you weren't even crawling yet, but this year, you'll be wrasslin' bears and fishing and getting really dirty. Just be careful out there! Maybe Nana will figure out just how hard it really is to keep you in line.

I'll leave you with the first picture that Daddy took of you with the new digital camera:

All right. Back to work. Love ya, little man!

Oh, I know... he's growing up, and there's nothing I can do to stop it! I guess my only choice is to have another one... LOL.

Yes! Have another one! I live vicariously through you and other blogging women that have babies. Talk to hubby tonight about it and let me know.
