I got Robert Downey, Jr for Mother's Day!
Hey kids,
Is it so wrong? When daddy asks the question, "What do you want for Mother's Day, Momma?" Is it really so wrong to reply, "To be left the hell alone!" or something along those lines?
So we forewent the cliches this year, and I got a few hours of me time. Yay me! I went to see Iron Man and fell in love with Robert Downey, Jr all over again. So buff, so droll, such a bad boy with that adorable goatee. Mmm. One of my favorite Tony Stark lines: "Give me a Scotch. I'm starving." Side note: Afghanistan, as depicted in this movie, looks a LOT like my back yard.
Afterwards, a bit of shopping at Trader Joes, a stop at Starbux for an iced americano and a go at the Daily Jumble (which I failed miserably, and wound up peeking at the answers. No seriously. YOU try and unjumble "YITTEN". I got all of them right off the bat, except that one.). Got home in time to feed you guys dinner and take Jake for a bike ride as the sun went down.
All in all, not a bad Mother's Day. Thank you!

entity? I've been staring at it for a while.
Oh, Robert Downey Jr. Sigh. What the hell is it about him? James was all impressed that I wanted to see one of "his" comic book movies after seeing the Ironman trailer when I went to see Charlie Bartlett, another RD Jr movie (which I recommend, mostly because it is one of the more accurate portrayals of teaching as I've experienced...and it has RD Jr). I think I'll be going to see this ASAP.
