Hey Wavy,

I'm overdue to check in with you regarding all the baby-book administrivia. Milestones, first words, first tattoos, etc. Here are some highlights:

• You had your six-month checkup last week (about six weeks past your six-month birthday... so sue me...). You're healthy as a horse. You weighed in at a whopping ("whopping" for one of our kids, at least) 16 lbs exactly.

• You've been crawling like a champ for exactly a week. Your knees are kinda raw from all the zipping around you've been doing. This marks the end of an era. Gone are the days when I could sit you down and wash the dishes or go to the bathroom or make a sandwich and come back to find you more or less in the same place.

• Solid foods consumed (other than the lint, twigs and assorted other mess you find on the carpet): carrots, squash, prunes, banana, apple, rice cereal, peas.

• "Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma-Ma," "Da-Da-Da-Da-Da-Da-Da-Da-Da-Da," "Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba."

• You have just enough hair now that you can tuck about three millimeters of it behind each ear.

• You're a bit browner than your brother. Olive tones. But your eyes are a lighter brown than his.

• Nursing is still going well. I quit pumping at work a few weeks ago. I still drag the damn thing in every day that I go in to the office, just in case the mood strikes me, but the mood hasn't struck in at least a month. I haven't noticed any dip in supply, though.

I'll add more items here as I think of them. Love you lots, even though I think you're growing up waaaaaaay too fast.
